Queue the fruit!🍌🍅🍑🍇🍋 The new year means new ideas, bigger goals and pushing the boundaries creatively. We wanted to create a campaign that had just the right amount of sexiness to get people talking. After lots of head scratching and tossing ideas into the bin, suggestive fruit mixed with the perfect euphemisms was born…

The brief

“Can we have a banana slowly peeling itself, doing a little wiggle, fully stripping and then chilling in a jacuzzi glass full of cream?” “What about a peach wearing a thong?” “Perky tomatoes in a bra?” Of course, you can, why the hell not?! Ideas like this are EXCITING, they cut through the noise and stand out, who wants to read mind-numbing facts when they can see kinky fruit? Who isn’t going to share a peach in a thong 👀?

Problem solving

First things first, how on earth do we do this? We could use stock photography? NO. This is not original, this is not unique, this isn’t real and it’s not ours. This campaign is all about creativity, pushing the boundaries and utilising our in-house skills; taking short cuts isn’t good enough. You need to go full circle; you need to be authentic if you want to show off your personality online.

Solution

Stop motion animation. Let’s go shopping (everyone loves trips to Big Tesco in the wave of a pandemic️ 😉), buy a suggestive looking peach and bananas then have a day of photographing them in compromising positions – the fruit not the staff.
