The region’s biggest membership organisation for the energy industry, the East of England Energy Group (EEEGR) needed a solution that gave their marketing a structure whilst boosting engagement from their audience and positioning their voice in industry as an authority.
As the region’s membership organisation for the energy industry, EEEGR came to Furthermore to put into place a marketing strategy that both positioned their organisation as the authoritative voice for the energy industry alongside encouraging engagement from their existing audience. In addition, they required a robust communications schedule that placed them at the heart of any conversations surrounding developments within industry.
How we helped them
Outlining a strategy that covered short-, medium-, and long-term ambitions was key to EEEGR’s strategy. We worked with the Senior Leadership Team to understand their goals and develop a marketing strategy that covered all aspects of this, identifying services that would support the delivery.
A dedicated account manager took ownership of the account, overseeing implementation of these delivery elements to take the strategy from words on a page and turn them into reality.
In particular, this account benefitted from our design, videography, social media management, and public relations (PR) services. Bringing all this activity together under one strategy allowed us to focus communications on key events, industry themes, as well as external affairs. By keeping our communications relevant and on-message across all of our audience touch-points, we were able to support the brand with their KPIs and business goals across a range of channels, the result being an increase in engagement and membership month-on-month.
A key area of growth for EEEGR was their media relations. By developing relationships, positioning the organisation as an authority, and creating thought leadership content, we were able to support them in this area.
