Our solution

As with any new project getting people to buy into the idea before it existed was particularly tricky. We were eventually able to get three operators to agree to sit down together and from there the group has grown to eight members, all of whom attend regular meetings, taking it in turn to host and share relevant learnings with each other.

The Health and Safety Executive also attend the forum, taking the opportunity to have two-way dialogue with the operators on areas of priority. They too present valuable information for the group in terms of clarification on specific topics and feedback.

The group has already successfully run its first campaign and is set to continue to do further collaborations based on this success.

The results

Whilst complete standardisation through collaboration is an ambitious objective, the HSE SNS Hub is moving in the right direction and offers its members the opportunity to continue to do so.
