Social media is an essential piece of your business marketing strategy. Social platforms help you connect with your customers, increase awareness about your brand, and showcase your industry knowledge.

With more than three billion people around the world using social media every month, it plays a key part.

Social media marketing isn’t just about advertising. It actually gives you the chance to interact with your audience and learn more about them. You can use these platforms to learn the wants and needs of your potential investors. It gives you the opportunity to establish your brand to build a network of trust.

Audience & Channels

Getting the right message in front of the right audience is important. There are various social media channels that you can use including; Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Snapchat and the new favourite, TikTok.

Since the COVID-19 outbreak, business owners have been hit with a rapidly changing environment and things have not been easy. It has highlighted that it’s now more important than ever to have an online presence. Understanding your audience and using the right platforms to get in front of these audiences is just as important.

Instagram

The visual-centric platform that began as a photo-posting app has grown into a source of income for creators and a new sales channel for businesses. It’s the second most downloaded free app from the App Store with 1 billion people using Instagram every month and 500 million people using Instagram stories every day.

The gender mix is pretty even; 52% female and 48% male and Instagram users will spend approx. 28 minutes a day on the app and 200 million users will visit at least one business profile daily.

83% of people discover new products and services on the platform, 81% use Instagram to research product services and 80% decide whether to buy a product or service.

Facebook

Facebook continues to grow every year since it launched in 2004, in both active users and time spent on the platform. It’s still the most-used social platform with nearly 2.45 billion monthly active users and 1.62 billion daily users.

Knowing who’s using the platform and how they are using it can make a difference when crafting a Facebook marketing strategy. Users watch 85% of Facebook videos without sound. Facebook users still prefer to scroll in silence. Many Facebook videos begin playing without sound, making it extremely important to focus on imagery that catches the viewer’s attention.

If there’s dialogue or narration in your videos, adding captions makes it more accessible and increases engagement.

Twitter

Twitter currently has over 330 million active users and 145 million daily users, 63% of its users is between 35-65 years old. B2B marketplace is very popular on Twitter with 67% of all B2B businesses using twitter as a digital marketing tool.

LinkedIn

LinkedIn is the main hub to connect with businesses from all around the world, not just the UK. With over 30 million companies with profiles on LinkedIn, 660 million LinkedIn users, spread across 200 countries there are endless opportunities.

How using social media can help your business:

1. Attract customers, get customer feedback and build customer loyalty. Social media isn’t simply a way to reconnect with old friends. Sharp marketers (and business owners) know that the top social sites offer a variety of tools to help drive sales.

2. Increase your market reach, including international markets. Broadcast your success stories. Social media offers a multitude of channels to share success stories and case studies that distinguish your business from others. You can distribute any success story from your website, YouTube channel, PR sites, or in news stories through social channels to gain visibility and positive traction for your company.

3. Increase revenue by building customer networks and advertising.  Improve customer service and satisfaction. The happier the customer, the more likely an enduring business-customer relationship will result. People expect to communicate with businesses via social media.

4. Raise brand awareness. Social media is the most effective marketing tools marketers can use to raise brand recognition and awareness. Social media can boost brand favourability quickly.

Working together

From training and ad hoc support to complete social media management, we have flexible options that suit you.

For some clients, we completely manage their social media accounts. Typically, that includes Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and Instagram. We have a team of social media experts who will work with you to develop a content plan a month in advance which is tailored to your business. We will also look for ways to engage people spontaneously with your brand and will research trending hashtags to tie in content to be delivered at a time when it will have the most impact.

Social media engagement is measured across all platforms and sent to you as a report at the end of each month. We use these statistics to learn what works and where to focus our efforts next month.

Alternatively, some customers just need a hand with strategy. If you have team members who can write content and post it on social media, we can still help you develop a social media management strategy. We’ll help you decide how to manage your social media for the year, what goals to set and how to measure success.

We have a range of social media packages and we give you the flexibility to add additional services that are available to bolt on to your package on an ad hoc basis.

In addition to this, we do offer bespoke packages that can be tailored to your needs. We are extremely flexible as we understand every business is different.
